A member of our Expert Witness team was appointed as a quantum expert to assess the remedial costs of rectifying defective surfacing works to 9km of highway.

PROJECT

The project consisted of the specialist application of surface dressing to over 9km of highway and was the subject of a dispute between the contractor and client, ultimately requiring formal dispute proceedings. Detailed investigations were required into delay and quantum, alongside an understanding of acceleration and mitigation measures to minimise the impact of rectification. 

Aquila Forensics was engaged as an expert witness in quantum and instructed to assess the costs arising from the remediation of 9km of defective roads, including direct and indirect labour, management and supervisory costs, overheads and profit.
