MAJOR UK AIRPORT

Aquila Forensics professionals have been involved for several years in the commercial management of a major UK airport’s capital and operational expenditure. Its main project responsibilities included the commercial management of the refurbishment of an entire Pier and an Inter-Terminal Transit System and its roles have included numerous projects ranging from civil engineering works (including airfield works) to the fit-out and refurbishment of airport piers and offices.  

General responsibilities included cost planning, procurement, contract administration, financial reporting, cash-flow analysis, supply-chain management and risk analysis all under the NEC2 & NEC3 suite of contracts. 

PROJECT

A major international airport in south-east England, the eighth-busiest airport in Europe, and until recently, the busiest single-use runway airport in the world. 

An airport which has two terminals, covering areas of over 258,000 m2 (2,750,000 ft2), it operates as a single-runway airport, with a main runway length of 3,316 m (10,879 ft). In 2017, 45.6 million passengers passed through the airport. The airport manages and invests an average of over $200mn capital expenditure annually.
